On 12/18/2022, ECSO communications received a disturbance call in the 40 block of Daisy Carney Rd., Tarboro. Upon deputies' arrival, they located a deceased person. Mr. Michael Jones was also on scene and was taken into custody without incident. 

Mr. Jones was charged with Voluntary Manslaughter and Firearm by felon. He was given no bond for the Voluntary Manslaughter and $25,000 secured bond for firearm by felon. 

He was remanded to the Edgecombe County Detention Center.
