Bailey Police Chief and Officer under investigation

Chief K. Callahan and Officer E. Sokolove are both on leave while officials conduct an investigation into the two

Chief K. Callahan and Officer E. Sokolove are both on leave while officials conduct an investigation into the two. Officials allege that they both are being investigated over malfeasance related to salary documentation.
If charged and convicted, they both will lose their certification with the Training and Standards Commission.
Nash County Sheriff's Office is handing patrol and calls for service in the town at this time

UPDATE: Sokolove told WRAL TV that the allegations are untrue and that he was retaliated against after he blew the whistle on Callahan for filling out time on the time sheet that she never worked. Sokolove plans to sue the town over the allegations if they do not pay him a settlement that he has requested. Sokolove's dad had bought Evan a dog and a police cruiser to use in the town and when he leaves the K9 and the vehicle will be going with him.
