2015 Homicide of Rocky Mount man walking to the store is still unsolved

On January 10th, 2015 Glyn Junior Jenkins was leaving his home in the area of the 600 block of Cascade Avenue in Rocky Mount to walk to the store when a vehicle drove by and an occupant started shooting at Jenkins ultimately killing him in his yard.


Per the medical examiner the cause of death of Glyn Junior Jenkins is attributed to a gunshot wound of the head and left thigh- reportedly sustained while standing outside his residence. The two bullets were recovered in the autopsy and collected as evidence.


Additionally, a third bullet was retrieved during the autopsy from soft tissue along the right chest - representing a retained missile from an old gunshot wound.


The examiner stated the manner of death was classified as Homicide.


RMPD is offering a $5000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s) responsible for the death of Glyn Jenkins.
