Man arrested after fleeing from deputies - Nash

EMMANUEL BURLEY 28, from Clark St Rocky Mount was arrested by NCSO yesterday after a brief chase on Hwy 97 in Rocky Mount that headed into Edgecombe County.


Deputies chased Burley into Edgecombe County where the chase ended at the Pretty Good Sand Company when the deputy used a "Pit maneuver" on the Grey Pontiac Burley was driving.


He was found with a felony amount of Cocaine.


He was also served an outstanding warrant for Domestic Criminal Trespass.

He was charged with the following regarding the pursuit :

Burley has outstanding, pending court cases for Resisting Officer, Child Abuse, Habitual Assault, Assault by Strangulation, Assault inflicting serious injury, Assault on an officer, and several Assault on a Female charges


He has spent time in jail for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Common Law Robbery and Felony Breaking and Entering.


His first appearance is scheduled for Tuesday in Nash County Court
