Yesterday RMPD asked Fighting Crime to post photos of a suspect wanted in a string of catalytic converter thefts across Rocky Mount.
Just moments after the photos were posted tips came in that the suspect was Joseph Dustin Wallace, 42 of Temperance Hall Rd in Edgecombe County. That information was sent to RMPD.
A RMPD officer spotted his vehicle in Rocky Mount and conducted a traffic stop where they found drugs and Mr. Wallace.
Wallace was charged with Larceny of Motor Vehicle Parts, Felony Possession of Schedule I drugs and Misdemeanor possession of Schedule IV drugs. He was transported to Nash County Jail and placed under a $12,500 bond according to RMPD.
Wallace is on probation after being convicted for selling schedule I drugs.
He has the following pending court dates

POSSESSION OF HEROIN
FOUR COUNTS BREAKING AND ENTERING A MOTOR VEHICLE
FOUR COUNTS MISD. LARCENY
FOUR COUNTS POSSESSION OF STOLEN GOODS
THREE COUNTS INJURY TO PERSONAL PROPERTY
