Overnight RMPD was called to the Rocky Mount Inn at 1921 N Wesleyan Blvd in Rocky Mount in reference to a female that was assaulted.
Police charged Michael Lee Pitt 55, with Assault on a Female, Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Assault inflicting serious injury.
Per police the female recieved medical treatment.
Pitt is jailed in Nash County jail.
