Two Rocky Mount men arrested in Maryland with two and a half pounds of Heroin

On December 18th, 2020 two Rocky Mount men were stopped on Interstate 95 near Perryville MD.


Tyrone Forman, 32, and Dentrez R. Thomas, 26 were stopped in a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Thomas because Forman, the front-seat passenger, was not wearing a seatbelt.


Three vacuum-sealed packages containing suspect heroin were seized after finding them in an area under the vehicle’s center console, The heroin weighed 1,196 grams which converts to nearly two and a half pounds. The two advised that they were returning to North Carolina from New York.


They were each charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of a large amount of heroin, both of which are felonies, and a misdemeanor count of possession of heroin,


Foreman has a history of assault, resisting, larceny and DWLR.

Foreman has nearly two dozen pending court cases in Nash and Edgecombe Counties in both Superior and District court for Felony Possession of Heroin, Concealing a Handgun, Assault on a Government Official, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Flee to Elude Arrest, Failing to wear seatbelt, several Driving while license revoke charges and speeding and is currently an Absconder from Probation.


Thomas has a history of several Felony Breaking and Entering convictions and Possession of Stolen Goods.


Thomas has Possession of Heroin, Maintaining a Dwelling for Heroin and Selling Heroin charges under Grand Jury Review in the court system.
