Were all found dead in the home around 1pm on Christmas Eve by gunshot wounds. The front door was found kicked in.

The family members were killed in different rooms and all wearing pajamas.

Neighbors stated that they heard gunshots around 1am.

9mm and .38-caliber cartridge casings were found at the scene, that leaves speculation that there were at least 2 shooters.

Privette, was shot nine times, she was shot in her neck, back, chest and arms, was found lying on a mattress in the living room, according to her autopsy.

Tammy Pearce, who was found lying on her right side on the bed in the bedroom, suffered from a gunshot wound to the head and gunshot wound to the left area near her clavicle, according to her autopsy.

Outland died as a result of gunshot wound to the head and right arm, his autopsy report indicated. He was found behind the bathroom door.

In August 2017 Dereck Eugene Harris was charged in the murders and then the charges were dropped in February 2020. Prosecutors stated that the charges were dropped due to uncooperative witnesses and circumstantial evidence. Initially, Sheriff Woodard stated that the murders were due to a drug debt between Harris and one of the victims.

At this time the murders are still unsolved.

This is a tragic event to lose so many family members and to lose them on Christmas Eve is even more tragic.
